These terms set out the conditions for using CalCentral.

Free information service

The site and its calculators are free to use. No account is needed. The site is provided as it is. It may change, or be unavailable at times, without notice.

Results are estimates

The calculators give estimates for information only. They do not replace advice from a qualified professional: results are not financial, tax, legal or medical advice. Check important decisions with a professional, and check the inputs and assumptions shown with each result.

Formulas are tested against reference cases and reviewed before publication, but mistakes can still happen. If you find one, please report it with the “Report an error” link at the bottom of the page.

Liability

The site’s results are general information. To the extent the law allows, the provider is not liable for decisions made on the basis of the site’s results. This does not exclude or limit liability for intent or gross negligence, for harm to life, physical or moral integrity or health, or any other liability that the law does not allow to be excluded or limited.

Embedding calculators

You may embed a calculator on your own website with the code offered by its “Embed” button. Do not change the embedded calculator, remove its link back to this site, or present it in a way that suggests the provider endorses your site. Permission to embed can be withdrawn.

Applicable law

Portuguese law applies. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory law of the country where you live.
