Editorial and corrections policy
Sources
Formulas come from regulators, standards bodies, universities and established textbooks. Some trading calculators also rely on exchange and broker documentation, and a few pages cite well-known reference sites. The formula box on every calculator lists its sources with links.
Testing against reference cases
Every calculator is checked against reference cases with known results before it is published, and these checks run again automatically on every change to the site. The formula box states how many reference cases a calculator is tested against.
Formula review
A formula carries the stamp “Reviewed by … on …” only after Rich has checked it against its sources. Calculators whose formula has not been reviewed are not published.
How articles are written
Articles are drafted with the help of AI writing tools. Rich reviews and edits every article before publication. The numbers in worked examples are produced by the site’s tested calculation code, not by an AI.
Corrections
You can report a mistake with the “Report an error” link at the bottom of any page or by email to contact@calcentral.org. Confirmed errors are corrected promptly, and the review date on the page is updated.
Independence
Results are never influenced by advertising. The site does not accept payment for placement in its results or articles. Advertising, where shown, is labelled as such.
